Meet the Founder

Joe Bowie

“JoeBo”

My love for racing started long before I ever picked up a camera or designed my first trading card. I grew up at the racetrack, spending my childhood watching my dad wheel a Late Model Sportsman around the ovals of Maine. Our home track was Oxford Plains Speedway, but we visited tracks like Beech Ridge, Lee Speedway, White Mountain, and eventually Wiscasset, where Dad would race for a few years and finish out his driving career in 2015.

Those nights under the lights weren’t just entertainment — they were the heartbeat of my childhood and the foundation of who I’d become.

When I wasn’t at the track, I was turning our yard into my own personal speedway. I’d ride my bicycle around the house pretending it was a racetrack, imagining the crowd cheering as I crossed the finish line. I remember putting on an old motorcycle helmet that dad had laying around in the basement and when the “race” was over, giving my “victory lane” speeches just like all the drivers that I looked up to including dad.

My brother and I had hundreds of matchbox cars, and I remember building pit road and the garage area out of Legos and racing our Matchbox cars like we were running a full short‑track program. Racing wasn’t just something we watched. It was something we lived, breathed, and recreated every chance we got.

Those early memories shaped everything that came after.

Why I started Chasin’ Racin’

As I got older, my passion shifted to creating memorabilia. I wanted to capture the same magic I felt as a kid — the emotion, the noise, the grit, the community. I wanted to preserve the stories of the drivers who inspired me, the families who filled the stands, and the tracks that built our racing culture.

Chasin’ Racin’ LLC grew from an idea: to collect the moments that matter and turn them into something people can hold onto.

Custom trading cards and memorabilia are the perfect way to honor the sport that raised me.

What Drives Me

I believe every racer — from the Saturday‑night rookie to the seasoned veteran — deserves to have their story remembered. Chasin’ Racin’ is my way of giving back to the sport that shaped my childhood, my passion for racing, and my life.

This isn’t just a business. It’s a tribute to the memories that made me who I am.

Let’s Keep the Tradition Alive

Whether you’re a driver, a team, a fan, or someone who grew up just like I did — dreaming of victory lane — I’d love to help you preserve your racing story.

Let’s collect the moments that matter — together.

ABOUT THE DRIVER

My Dad’s Racing Story

My dad’s love for racing didn’t start in a garage or behind the wheel — it started in the stands. He grew up as a fan first, soaking in the roar of the engines, the smell of race fuel, and the thrill of watching local heroes battle it out under the lights. Those early days shaped everything that came after.

As he got older, that passion only grew stronger. He became the kind of racer who lived for the challenge — the long nights in the shop, the constant search for speed, and the satisfaction of making a car better one adjustment at a time. Some weekends the setup came together perfectly. Other weekends, the car fought him from the moment it rolled off the trailer. But he never backed down. Racing demanded grit, patience, and heart, and he brought all three every time he strapped in.

When he wasn’t at the track, he found the same sense of freedom on two wheels. Riding his 2015 Indian gave him the space to breathe, reflect, and enjoy the quiet moments between race nights. Even when back injuries and surgeries tried to slow him down, he pushed forward with the same determination he showed behind the wheel. Racing wasn’t just something he did — it was part of who he was.

His journey as a fan, a driver, and a lifelong supporter of short‑track racing didn’t just shape his own life — it shaped mine and my brothers too. The nights spent in the shop, the weekends at the track, the lessons learned from watching him chase speed with heart and humility… those moments built the foundation for our own love of the sport. Chasin’ Racin’ exists because of the passion he passed down to us, and every card, every photo, and every story we preserve carries a piece of his legacy.

ABOUT JR

A Lifelong Racing Fan

For JR, racing has always been more than a sport — it’s a family tradition. His love for it started when he was just a kid, sitting in the stands at Oxford Plains Speedway, watching the Busch North races with Mimi and Grandpa Childs, who everyone knew as Bunny. Those weekends weren’t just entertainment; they were memories in the making — long days under the sun, loud engines echoing through the air, and the kind of excitement that never fades.

One of JR’s favorite memories is one of Bunny’s surprises. He was told he’d be helping with roofing work — not exactly something a kid gets excited about. But Bunny had a plan. He showed JR a newspaper article about New Hampshire Motor Speedway, knowing it would catch his eye. JR said, “That would be cool,” not realizing Bunny already had tickets waiting. Instead of climbing onto a roof, he climbed into the stands — and that day sealed his love for racing forever.

Those moments didn’t just make JR a fan; they made him understand what racing really is — family, tradition, and connection. It’s about the people who share the stands, the stories passed down, and the memories that stick with you long after the checkered flag falls.

Now, being part of Chasin’ Racin’, JR gets to give some of that back. He helps preserve the stories, capture the moments, and keep the history of short‑track racing alive for the next generation — the kids who might get hooked the same way he did: by surprise, by family, and by the roar of a race they’ll never forget.

His passion for the sport, shaped by those early days in the stands and the time spent with our dad in the shop, helped shape mine too. Together, we carry forward the same love for racing that’s been in our family for decades — the heartbeat behind Chasin’ Racin’ and the reason we keep collecting the moments that matter.
